General Asbestos Basic Course Online

According to AFS 2023:13, as amended by AFS 2025:6
Promotional price: 995 SEK (Regular price: 1,995 SEK)

This training is intended for individuals who need a general basic course on asbestos in accordance with AFS 2023:13, as amended by AFS 2025:6, but who do not perform asbestos removal work.

According to the Swedish Work Environment Authority’s regulations regarding risks in certain types of work (AFS 2023:13), both supervisors and employees who handle asbestos or asbestos-containing materials are required to complete relevant training. The employer is responsible for ensuring that employees have completed this training and that their knowledge is updated as needed.

Target Group

This General Asbestos Course (basic asbestos training) is intended for companies and professionals who, in accordance with the Swedish Work Environment Authority’s requirements, must complete asbestos training before performing work where asbestos may be present, for example:

  • Craftsmen, technicians, and property maintenance staff
  • Construction and contracting personnel
  • Supervisors and site managers
  • Project managers, clients, and designers
  • Maintenance and operations staff at older facilities

The General Asbestos Training is designed for individuals who need to understand the processes involved in asbestos removal and materials containing asbestos, and who require general training in accordance with AFS 2023:13 and AFS 2025:6.

How the Asbestos Training Works

The digital course includes practical examples, such as how to identify asbestos risks and how to avoid exposure. According to regulations, the employer is responsible for supplementing the training with practical elements tailored to the workplace, which may be documented using a checklist.

Course Features

  • Flexible web-based training: Complete the theory at your own pace, anytime.
  • Comprehensive content: Includes audio, text, and video to provide an in-depth understanding.
  • Knowledge test: The final exam may be retaken as many times as necessary until it is passed.

Our General Asbestos Training provides the theoretical knowledge required under AFS 2023:13 and the new amendments to AFS 2025:6. The course focuses on legal requirements, risks, and safe work practices for anyone who may be exposed to asbestos-containing dust—even if you do not personally perform demolition or removal work.

Online Asbestos Training

Asbestos is one of the most hazardous materials that may still be present in buildings and facilities. Although its use has long been banned, asbestos remains in many older structures. To work safely and make informed decisions in the workplace, both knowledge and awareness are essential.

This course provides a solid foundation in:

  • What Asbestos Is and Why It Is Dangerous
  • Where asbestos may be present in buildings and materials
  • Health risks associated with exposure
  • Applicable laws and workplace requirements
  • How to handle asbestos safely and what protective measures are required

The course is designed for those who need a general understanding of asbestos or who want to prepare for hands-on training to get the most out of it.
