This training is intended for those who need to completea basic asbestos coursein accordance withAFS 2023:13, as amended by AFS 2025:6, but whodo not perform asbestos removal.

According to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations on risks in certain types of work (AFS 2023:13), it is mandatory for both supervisors and workers who handle asbestos or asbestos-containing materials to undergo relevant training. The employer is responsible for ensuring that staff have completed this training and that their knowledge is updated as necessary.

This general asbestos course (basic asbestos training) is intended for companies and professionals who, in accordance with the Swedish Work Environment Authority’s requirements, must complete asbestos training before performing work where asbestos may be present, such as:

• Tradespeople, technicians, and property managers

• Construction and contracting personnel

• Maintenance and operations staff at older facilities

 “General Asbestos Training” is designed for those who need to understand the processes involved in asbestos removal and materials containing asbestos, and who are required to complete general training in accordance with AFS 2023:13, as amended by AFS 2025:6

The digital training also includes practical examples, such as how to identify asbestos risks and how to avoid exposure. According to the regulations, the employer is responsible for supplementing the training with practical components tailored to the workplace, which can be documented using a checklist.
