About Fire Alarm Attendants

Become responsible for your organization's fire alarm system with the right conditions. This distance learning course via Microsoft Teams gives you in-depth knowledge to be able to manage, control and be responsible for a fire alarm system according to current regulations and standards. The participant can communicate with the course leader during the course and there is room to ask questions. The participant must have a computer or mobile phone.

  • Persons appointed as facility managers according to SBF 110:8
  • Operations and safety officers
  • Building managers and fire safety inspectors
  • Evacuation leaders and technical staff

Purpose and training objectives

  • Be able to manage, control and be responsible for fire alarm systems
  • Understand laws, regulations and regulatory requirements (e.g. LSO and SBF 110:8)
  • Performing regular supervision and fault alarm management skills
  • Participate actively in the fire protection organization of the business

  • Fire risks and prevention
  • Structure and operation of the fire alarm system
  • Laws and regulations: LSO, SBF 110:8 and others.
  • Fault alarm management, recovery and connections
  • Switching on/off of detectors and control functions
  • Monthly and quarterly checks
  • Responsibilities of the facility manager in the fire protection organization
