This training is intended for individuals who require a general asbestos basic course in accordance with AFS 2023:13 with amendments in AFS 2025:6, but who do not perform asbestos removal work.

According to the Swedish Work Environment Authority’s regulations concerning risks in certain types of work (AFS 2023:13), it is mandatory for both supervisors and employees who handle asbestos or asbestos-containing materials to complete relevant training. The employer is responsible for ensuring that employees have completed this training and that their knowledge is updated when necessary.

This General Asbestos Course (basic asbestos training) is aimed at companies and professionals who, according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority’s requirements, must complete asbestos training before performing work where asbestos may be present, for example:
