The training explains the laws and regulations for people who carry out road works and how to apply them to different works. You will also gain an understanding of the risks involved in roadworks and how they can be prevented to make you a safe worker. This course takes place online and gives you as a participant a certificate/course certificate after successful completion. The certificate is stored with us which you can also save or print out yourself.
Drivers of road maintenance vehicles performing the following work must pass the Swedish Transport Administration's certification test:
- Anyone driving a road maintenance vehicle equipped with an energy absorbing protective device (TMA, mounted on or towed by a vehicle).
- Anyone who drives a road maintenance vehicle, where the vehicle is actively used in intermittent work on protection classified roads. The requirement applies even if the vehicle has no intermittent markings. The requirement does not apply to drivers of vehicles visiting the workplace temporarily and briefly, for example, to deliver goods/materials or transport staff.
Drivers of road maintenance vehicles with certification requirements must have the following skills:
- Have an in-depth knowledge of the requirements outlined in step 1.
- Know how to handle energy absorbing protective devices, their installation, their operating mode and how to use them.
- Know how to use device X5 Yellow light arrow or arrows.
- Know how to position vehicles with energy absorbing protective devices on the road surface, in order to achieve a good working environment and safety for road users.
- Be able to communicate in Swedish and with other drivers of road maintenance vehicles included in the current execution.
After the training
You will receive a certificate and can register the course for free on ID06.
The certificate is valid for 4 years.
For those who carry out work where the Transport Agency is the client, there is a requirement for a certification test at the Transport Agency for stage 2.1 and upwards

Logging in is done using a mobile BankID and it is required that you have a valid ID06 card registered with Trafikverket (see point 2) at the time of booking. - In order to receive the results/invoice, you need to register an e-mail address. You can do this under "My Details".

- You can choose any office and any free time from the regular hours of Driver Testing.
- A trial fee will be charged; price daytime 580 SEK excluding VAT, price evenings and weekends 656 SEK excluding VAT
- Payment is made by card (called "Pay now") or by invoice (called "Pay later").
- Receipts can be obtained from the Driver Examination Customer Service or on site outside the test room after you have written the test.
