The course "Electrical Safety at Work" replaces the previous course "Maintenance of Electrical Installations". Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of the electrical safety at work regulations and learn how to carry out electrical work safely in the most common types of electrical installations. The aim of the training is to:
Gain an understanding of the regulations on safe electrical work in order to be able to work safely in environments where electrical hazards may occur and prevent electrical accidents. This is done by establishing work procedures, carrying out risk analysis, choosing the correct work method and having an understanding of the maintenance responsibilities of the facility owner

The training covers the following points in particular:

  • Elfaran
  • Accidents
  • The Swedish Electrical and Electronic Safety Authority's regulation on work in professional activities where there is an electrical hazard for those involved in the work, ELSÄK-FS 2006:1
  • Inspection of electrical installations and equipment by the owner, ELSÄK-FS 2008:3
  • Maintenance of electrical installations SS-EN 50110-1
  • Procedures for the appointment and duties of the electrical safety manager
  • Risk management, assessment based on the different tasks of the course participants
  • Choice of working method and conditions for different working methods
  • Risk management in the planning and execution phase
