Target group
For those who transport dangerous goods, work in warehouses, load/unload dangerous goods, classify dangerous goods, issue transport documents, package dangerous goods according to the value-added quantity exemption, maximum 1000 points. and other personnel who have duties related to the transport of dangerous goods by road or rail.
This course is a basic requirement for anyone transporting or assisting in the transport of dangerous goods.
All personnel involved in the transport of dangerous goods must be trained. This online course is aimed at anyone involved in the transport of dangerous goods but who does not require a full ADR certificate.
If a person is to perform tasks for which he or she is not trained, this may only be done under the supervision of a trained person. This course is relevant to consignors, transporters and consignees.
Purpose of the training
staff are made aware of the risks and hazards associated with the dangerous goods they handle and the applicable rules. Unlike driver training, 1.3 training does not require approval or authorisation from the MSB. The MSB does not issue a certificate of completion of this training, but you will receive a certificate of competence after this course.
The training shall be provided periodically to take account of changing regulations. As the regulations are revised and updated every two years, it is appropriate that the 1.3 training is also repeated every two years. The periodic training should be documented by the employer. Completed training should be documented by the employer and the worker.
